THE RON PAUL ROCKFEST

Fundraiser for presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul takes off!

August 17, 2007- Atlanta: thinkLIBERTARIAN.com is proud to announce that the lineup for the Ron Paul Rockfest has quickly grown to 16 bands and is expected to climb even higher.

“After getting so many requests from bands, we decided to adjust the format of the Ron Paul Rockfest so we could include a lot more acts than we had originally planned,” says Chance Walls, the event’s music coordinator.  “Instead of having four to six bands, we may have as many as twenty!  We’ll do this by having a drum kit, guitar amps, and a bass rig already on stage that everyone will use, and each act will probably play two to three songs,” he goes on to say.

To date, the following bands have committed to participate: The Lord Is My Shotgun, Alan Yates Band, Like Clockwork, Cinetrope, Threat Level Red, 3052, Elli Perry, Your Uncle Who Went Crazy, Chickens N’ Pigs, The Issues, Trial By Fire, Green Bracelet,  Jimmy The Saint, Bruce Butkovich, and Sanjay.

The fundraising concert will take place at Smith’s Olde Bar (1578 Piedmont Ave NE,

Atlanta, GA 30324) on Thursday, October 25th, 2007.  Doors will open at 7, the cover charge will be $10, music will start at 7:30 and will continue until 1:30. All proceeds from the door will be utilized for Dr. Ron Paul’s campaign.

According to Mark Augustyn with thinkLIBERTARIAN.com, “Our plan is to use all funds collected at the door to purchase materials and fund the efforts of local Georgia Ron Paul Meetup groups who are working hard to spread Dr. Paul’s message throughout the state.  We might even look to fund a Ron Paul billboard on behalf of the local meetup groups. And due to specific campaign finance laws, we’ll also have available ‘formatted envelopes’ for those people who want to make a contribution directly to the campaign.”

Any bands or organizations that would like to be a part of the Ron Paul Rockfest should contact Mark at 404.822.3986 or info@thinkLIBERTARIAN.com.
